February

First Friday Art Walk: Ben and Jerry's

Friday, February 3 | 5 PM – 7 PM
Meet at Ben and Jerry’s 
Join the Year 2 Board and other second year students as they enjoy the sights of Old Town while learning a little bit about what Fort Collins has to offer! After getting a treat at Ben and Jerry’s, we’ll start the First Friday Art Walk, which is where 22 of Old Town’s galleries, museums, and art-minded shops stay open late for new showcases, interactive displays, and artist talks during this self-guided walking tour.

Year 2sday @ the Career Center

Tuesday, February 7 | 11 AM – 1 PM
Career Center (Bottom Floor of LSC)
Prepare for the All-Campus Career Fair by joining us at the Career Center to learn some helpful tips about how to prepare for the fair, how to network with employers, resume preparation etc. Participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a CSU padfolio. This is a free-flowing event; come when you can and leave when you want to! 

Signing an Off-Campus Lease

Signing a lease doesn’t have to be daunting if you know what to look for! Join Student Legal Services and Off Campus Life to learn about the process of signing a lease, how to work with landlords/ leasing offices, how to get your deposit back, and more helpful tips! Registration is strongly encouraged, but not required. 

Build a Budget Workshop

Tuesday, February 21 | 6 PM – 7 PM
Canvas Stadium Classroom 0202 (enter on the east side of the stadium along Meridian Ave.) 
Join Canvas Credit union in an interactive workshop to learn how to build a budget to fit your needs! The workshop will feature free Krazy Karl’s, raffle prizes, and expert financial advice to set you up for financial success as you prepare to move off campus. Registration is strongly encouraged, but not required.

Creative Chill Out

Wednesday, March 1 | 6 PM – 7 PM

Being creative can help us reduce stress by giving our thinking mind a break. Creating something can be restorative, boosts our mood, and takes very little time.  In this session, you will experience various ways to bring creative breaks in small moments of everyday life.  No prior skills are required. Registration is strongly encouraged, but not required. 

Core Power Yoga Class

Thursday, March 2 | 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
CorePower Yoga Studio (2700 S College Ave.) 
Turn stress into sweat. This signature class strengthens, balances, and detoxifies your entire body and mind as you move through postures and connected breath. Set to an energizing playlist, you’ll power up your practice like never before. All experience levels are welcome and there is no cost to attend this event. University transportation from campus to the Yoga studio is available if needed. The university shuttle for the class will depart from the Canvas Stadium parking lot #585 (new student tailgate lot) at 5:15 PM. Registration is required for this event.

Year 2sday with the Alumni Association

Learn how the Alumni Association can support you as an alum AND as a current student. Come enjoy free Krazy Karl’s pizza while also learning some interesting facts about CSU history and traditions. This is a drop-in event! You are welcome to stop by at any time during the event!

Credit 101

Monday, April 3 | 6 PM – 7 PM
Canvas Stadium Classroom 0202 (enter on the east side of the stadium along Meridian Ave.)
In this workshop, Canvas Credit Union staff will teach you the basics. Learn what credit is, how to build it, and tips for maintaining a healthy credit history. Free chipotle catering will be served for participants! Registration is strongly encouraged, but not required.
