As a Ram Connect Leader (RCL), you will…

  • Lead a group of new students through team-building exercises, discussions, and other activities
  • Participate in and lead follow-up activities related to Ram Connect large group activities
  • Educate new students about Colorado State University and the Principles of Community
  • Lead small group conversations surrounding identity, values, and transition
  • Develop and demonstrate skills in facilitating small groups
  • Create an excellent, world-class customer experience for new students attending Ram Connect

Ram Connect: Mountain RCL

Ram Connect: Mountain RCLs are student volunteers who lead activities during Ram Connect: Mountain programs at the CSU Mountain Campus. Ram Connect: Mountain is a 3-day, 2-night experience for incoming First-Year and Transfer students. As a Ram Connect: Mountain RCL, you would lead a small group of 9 or 10 students as well as help lead large group activities for all students in attendance (up to 30 students for Transfer and up to 55 students for First-Year).

Who can be a Ram Connect: Mountain RCL?

Any current CSU student in good standing who is graduating in December of 2022 or later.

How much does it cost?

Being a Ram Connect Leader only costs your time. We will pay for your food, transportation, lodging, and activity fees for participating in CSU Mountain Campus activities such as the Challenge Ropes Course.


Ram Connect: Adventure RCL

Ram Connect: Adventure RCLs are student volunteers who lead activities during Ram Connect: Adventure programs that take place in Rocky Mountain National Park and Larimer County. Ram Connect: Adventure is a 4-day, 3-night experience for incoming First-Year students. As a Ram Connect: Adventure RCL, you would be partnered with an Outdoor Trip Instructor to lead a small group of 9 students through the Ram Connect: Adventure activities like white water rafting, camping, hiking, and rock-climbing.

Who can be a Ram Connect: Adventure RCL?

Ram Connect: Adventure RCLs must have previously held one of the following OTP student staff positions: Orientation Leader, Transfer Transition Leader, Peer Facilitator, Year 2 @ CSU Board, Ram Connect Leader, or Ram Welcome Leader. Students must also be in good standing and have an anticipated graduation date in December 2022 or later.

How much does it cost?

Being a Ram Connect Leader only costs your time. We will provide your food, transportation, gear, and activity fees for participating in Ram Connect: Adventure activities.
