International Parent, Family, and Guest Orientation

Ram Orientation is not just an experience for students– we know how important it is for you to know what to expect as your student starts their time at Colorado State University. We invite you to attend one of our options for Parents, Family, and Guest Ram Orientation sessions.

There are several options that you, as the support system of an International Student, can choose from for your Orientation Session. Explore the options below to decide which session is best for you. No matter which session you select, you will receive access to the Parent, Family, and Guest Online Orientation modules.

On-Campus Parent, Family, and Guest International Ram Orientation

Join us for an in-person Orientation session Tuesday, August 16th – Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. This program will take place on campus at the same time that your student is participating in the in-person component of their Ram Orientation for International Students program. At this session, you can expect to learn information about campus resources available to both you and your student, hear from current international students, participate in a campus tour, and more!

Virtual Parent, Family, and Guest Ram Orientation

We know that it may not be possible for you to travel to Fort Collins with your student, but we still want you to have information that can help you support them. Throughout the summer, we will be hosting various sessions of Virtual Parent, Family, and Guest Ram Orientation. Although the specific sessions are listed as being for the guests of first-year or transfer students, you are welcome to register for whichever session works best with your schedule. These programs will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time on each date. During these sessions, you can expect to hear from different campus offices who are here to support both you and your student.
