Transfer Events

Throughout the semester a number of events and social gatherings are planned for new transfer students. These events are designed to help you enjoy your time at CSU while meeting other new students and making connections. We hope to see you at our events this semester!

For-Ever-Green T-Shirt Pickup & Ask a TTL

Did you not get your For-Ever-Green shirt during Transfer Ram Welcome? No problem! Stop by the Lory Student Center Plaza on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday during the first week of classes to get your shirt and to ask the TTLs a question (or many!). Be sure to stop by!
 
Transfer Student Kickoff

Look for us in Shelter #7 across from the pool area!
Join the Transfer Transition Leaders for free food and fun at the annual Transfer Student Kick-Off at City Park! This is a great way to have some fun, eat good food, and meet other new transfer students at the end of your first week of classes. Learn about upcoming Transfer Programs events and more about CSU.
 
Transfer Outdoor Adventure Kickoff

Interested in knowing more about getting involved on campus through the outdoors? Then join the TTLs in learning more about the Outdoor Program here at CSU! The Outdoor Programs seeks to connect CSU students with the outdoors through various programs and learning opportunities. Do not miss out on this introduction to all things outdoors here at CSU.
 
First Friday Gallery Art Walk

Walrus Ice Cream (Old Town Area of Fort Collins)
There are so many things to do in Fort Collins! Join the TTLs and other new transfer students for a night of fun in exploring Fort Collins’ Old Town area. Starting with a stop to a Fort Collins favorite, Walrus Ice Cream, followed by attending the First Friday Gallery Art Walk. This event is designed to showcase a number of shops/stores in the Old town area. If you are wondering about how to get to Old Town from campus, no worries. Learn to Climb at the Climbing Wall

Student Rec Center – Climbing Wall
We are offering a night of dedicated rock climbing for transfers. Join the TTLs and fellow students for a night of rock climbing at the Student Rec Center. This event is for all levels of rock climbers, from beginner to expert.

Transfer Intro to Rock-Climbing Event

Rock climbing is a popular outdoor activity here in Colorado and that is why we are offering the chance for transfer students to get an introduction to the experience. NOTE, participation in this event requires signing up, as there are a limited number of spots available. Students will be notified after signing up if they are confirmed or waitlisted. This event is for all levels of climbers, from beginner to expert. More details and sign-up to come.
 
Outdoor Clinic – Backcountry Cooking
Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
Student Rec Center
Looking for some tasty camp stove-top meals? Join our “seasoned” backpacking instructor for a one-hour try-it-yourself meals. All food stuffs provided! Join us at to learn more about cooking outdoors and grab some free food with the TTLs.
 
Transfer Homecoming Celebration
Friday, October 4, 2019 from 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Come celebrate CSU’s Homecoming with the TTLs and fellow transfer students at the Transfer Homecoming Celebration. This a chance to reconnect with your TTL and fellow students, while enjoying FREE food. Join us after the celebration to watch the Homecoming Parade pass through the Oval.

Fall Clean Up
Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Fort Collins Community *** Must sign up for this event. More details and sign-up to come.
This is a fantastic opportunity to serve the Fort Collins community. In partnership with Off-Campus Life, CSU students, staff, and faculty help community members with cleaning up their yards when they cannot. Be on the lookout for the sign-up to be a part of the transfer student Fall Clean Up group. Be a part of something bigger with the TTLs and fellow transfer students.
 
Horsetooth Mountain Hike

What is more outdoorsy for FoCo and CSU than a hike to Horsetooth Mountain? This is an opportunity for new transfer students to embark on a guided hike around the Horsetooth Mountain area. NOTE, participation in this event requires signing up, as there are a limited number of spots available. Students will be notified after signing up if they are confirmed or if they are waitlisted. This hike is for all levels of hikers, from beginner to expert. More details and sign-up to come.
 
Avalanche Awareness Clinic
Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
Student Rec Center
Avalanche safety starts with avalanche knowledge—join our avalanche educated staff for a one-hour overview of avalanche safety in Northern Colorado. Our TTLs will be there to learn with you and to wrap up the semester!
