THURSDAY, JANUARY 11, 2024

Spring Ram Welcome Check-In

Visit our Spring Ram Welcome Check-In Table to start your Spring Ram Welcome Experience! Students will pick up their Forever-Green-Shirt and learn more about what to expect over the next few days of Ram Welcome.

    Meet staff members from CSU’s Adult Learner and Veteran Services office to learn more about the wide variety of campus services and resources dedicated to supporting this student population. Take this opportunity to meet other adult learners and student veterans and kickstart your transition as a new Ram.

New Student, Parent & Supporters Reception

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center | Event Hall and Main Lobby
Join other incoming CSU students, family members and supporters, staff, University administrators, and campus partners for an informal reception and resource fair. Connect with members of the CSU community and learn more about the resources available to you at CSU. Light appetizers will be provided and parents, family members and supporters are invited to attend.

New Student Bowling Night

6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Chipper’s Lanes (Buses will leave immediately following the New Student and Family Reception at 6:00 PM from the Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center and will return between 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM)
Join other new CSU students and our Transfer Transition Leaders for a few hours of free bowling. Bowl a strike, connect with a new friend, and enjoy free pizza and pop at Chipper’s Lanes.  NOTE: Pizza and drinks are available while supplies last. Gluten free & vegetarian pizza will be available, as well. Vegan accommodations available upon request.

Introduction to Group Fitness: Yoga @ the Rec

Learn more about Group Fitness at the Rec and attend a Morning Yoga class. No prior experience or equipment needed. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle. NOTE: This program starts promptly at 10:00 AM. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to check-in.

Rock Climbing @ the Rec

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM 
Student Recreation Center
Students are invited to drop by anytime between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to explore what the Climbing Wall has to offer students of all experience levels. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will be present to assist students. No prior experience or equipment needed. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle.

Class Quest

Bring your class schedule and join our Transfer Transition Leaders on a guided tour of popular academic buildings, student spaces, and hidden gems across campus. You’ll be one step ahead for the first day of classes. Meet us for hand-warmers, hot chocolate, and hot tea before we venture out at 2:10 PM.

New Student Social: Barbie Movie and Build-A-Ram

Durrell Center
Join other students for a social and movie night hosted by Residential Leadership Programs. Settle in for an evening of Barbie, bites to eat, and Build-A-Ram (while supplies last). Movie starts at 6:00 PM but students are welcome to stop by anytime between 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM.

Women's Basketball Game: CSU vs. New Mexico Lobos

Moby Arena (Meet Outside the Student Recreation Center to get Ram Ready at 12:45 PM)
CSU Rams take being a Ram seriously and we love to show off our school pride. Join us for your first CSU Athletics event as a CSU Ram. Meet outside the Student Recreation Center at 12:45 PM to get decked out in gear before heading over to Moby Arena for the game. We will be sitting together as a group. CSU students automatically have access to home games.

New Student Rollerskating Night

6:30 PM – 8:30 PM  
Rollerland Skate Center (Transportation will leave from the Student Recreation Center at 6:00 PM and will return between 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM)
As you roll into your first year as a CSU student, join us for two hours of open, indoor skating at Rollerland Skate Center! Meet your Transfer Transition Leaders outside of the Student Recreation Center at 6:00 PM. Transportation will be provided, and we’ll cover the cost of your admission and skate rentals.

As part of the Fort Collins community, CorePower Yoga (located at 2700 S College Avenue) invites new students to the local Fort Collins studio for some FREE classes during Ram Welcome! College of Agricultural Sciences

All new College of Agricultural Science students are invited to stop by the Student Success Suite (Room 150; Nutrien Ag Sciences building) to meet the Student Success Team, learn about advising, student organizations, and other helpful resources. Swag and snacks are available to students who stop by.

The College of Business will be scheduling individual advising appointments to discuss coursework and welcome you to CSU! We will also be contacting you as the semester begins with more information on how to collect your welcome shirt! Make sure to check your email so you do not miss out on additional information.

We invite all new students to meet the Exploratory Studies advising team in the Collaborative for Student Achievement on Thursday, January 11 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.  We will have swag to give away and sweet treats to enjoy.

The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) welcomes new students to stop by the Dean’s Offices in the Gibbons Building second floor from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 16 – Friday, January 19 to pick up CHHS swag and a t-shirt! Please check your CSU email so you do not miss out on welcome events!

Incoming CLA students are invited to meet with their Academic Success Coordinators by calling the Academic Support Center at 970-491-3117 to set up an appointment. Students may also visit the Academic Success Center main office in Clark C-207, M-F 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM to learn more about ASCs and/or to schedule a time to meet with their advisor.

New students are also invited to stop by the Dean’s Office in Clark C-138 to pick up a free CLA T-Shirt. The office is open Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

New students can drop by at the Engineering Success Center in the Scott Bioengineering Building on Wednesday, January 17th between 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM for breakfast burritos, refreshments, college swag and chat with a current student ambassador about life on campus, resources and more.  They may check in at the front desk or head straight to the conference room 105 located in the center.

Incoming natural resources students are invited to drop by the Student Success Center (Smith Natural Resources 137 in the Atrium) from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on January 17-20, 2024 to pick up a gift bag and resources about undergraduate advising, college minors, information technology and computer labs, DEI, tutoring, and student organizations.
